Four Transmission Modes in Common Use of Video Surveillance system

In the practice of video surveillance systems installation, it is necessary to work out the monitoring design plan according to the different use environment and the different requirements of customers. Only a complete and suitable monitoring plan could guarantee the stability, economy, efficiency of the monitoring system . While, the main transmission mode of the network monitoring system are as following 

1. The traditional way (by the CCTV Camera + Power + network cable composition)

In the integrated cabling, while the power cord and network cable, power can also be nearby 220V AC (thus saving power cable) , to provide power for each network camera. There's another ethernet cable to transfer network data to the network DVR, NVR.

2. Poe power supply(the network Camera + Poe switch)

Compared with the 1st solution, this way save a power line. The network camera only need  a network cable as the transmission signal medium, no more power cords needed. Network cable with non-shielded ultra-five twisted pair on it could transmiss data to100 meters without any problems.

Main advantages of Poe power supply:

1, Save Wire, save wiring time, save wiring manpower, provide engineering construction efficiency.

2, Do not use the power supply; no strong electricity; no electric shock danger; reducing the failure probability & maintenance cost.

3, Reduce the construction difficulty, simple and convenient, easy to use, engineering wiring is more beautiful.

3. Long-distance optical fiber transmission

In the case of long-distance, with the network camera + Fiber + transceiver, you can transmit a longer distance! Network transmission is normally within 100 meters, then if it ismore than 100 meters of the case, generally optical fiber transmission is recommanded. Optical fiber not only transmits long distance (can transmit 20 kilometers) but also has stable performance. When optical fiber transmits data, it firstly converts data signals into optical signals for transmission, and then converts optical signals into data signals, this process needs to use the optical fiber transceiver to complete the signal conversion work.

4. Wireless transmission

In a specific monitoring system implementation, if the wiring is difficult or not suitable for laying cables(for example, communities that have hardened roads, elevators, factories that have been built, open spaces that are far away, fields and so on) we can use wireless transmission to build a transmission network over a wireless bridge, realize the wireless transmission of data.
